Learn Russian in the European Union is accepting applications for the following in-person Russian study abroad programs:
- 2023 Winter
- 2023 Spring semester
- 2023 Fall semester
- 2024 Spring semester
All programs are hosted at Daugavpils University in Daugavpils, Latvia. Undergraduate credits will be awarded at Daugavpils University.
Students can apply for semester abroad programs:
- Russian Language, Literature and Culture;
- Russian Language and Political Science;
- Russian Language and East European Studies;
- Russian Language and Natural Sciences (STEM).
Each semester program gives up to 30 ECTS (15 US) credits.

2023 Spring semester (30 ECTS credits)

2023 Winter Program
We offer this intensive program to students willing to boost their Russian in a short period. The program will be very efficient for students with at least three full semesters of university Russian.
Students can earn 6 ECTS (3 US) credits in the Russian language. The program will also include content lectures on different aspects of Russian and Baltic culture, traditions, history, and present, all provided in adjusted Russian.

Optional pre-semester intensive Russian course
Learn Russian in the EU invites students to attend an optional pre-semester Russian course in order to brush-up their language skills before starting the academic program.
This course precedes the semester program and is provided in-person. It should help students strengthen communication skills, extend active vocabulary, and refresh grammar. The pre-semester course gives no academic credits.
All pre-semester Russian-courses include:
- 40-60 lessons in groups at different levels, as well as 8-12 individual sessions with native communication tutors.
- Lodging in a Russian-speaking host family with breakfast and dinner.
- No academic credit.
We will finalize the pre-semester course details and costs at least 6-8 weeks before the course start.
