We plan that in the near future, financial support will be available to Learn Russian in the EU students through the Dobychin Scholarships.

Funding for this scholarship will be provided by the Leonid Dobychin Society for Educational and Liberal Arts Initiatives, a non-profit organization.

Leonid Dobychin (1894-1936) was a writer whose major work “The Town of N” depicted life in Daugavpils (Dvinsk) at the turn of the twentieth century.

The Dobychin Society promotes the development of intercultural dialogue and international collaboration in the liberal arts. It also offers financial assistance for international students coming to Daugavpils to study Russian language, literature and culture and the history and culture of Latvia and other Baltic countries.
